Can You Sell a Used Cpap Machine on Ebay

I am moving in a few weeks, and I have a cpap from two years agone, that I don't want to ship. It'due south been in the closet for two years now! Anyways, is it legal to sell a used cpap? And if so, practise I get through ebay or is there a meliorate site? It's mine, as the insurance company rented it for 9 months from the DME, at high markup, so on the 10th month, it became my property.

Since you lot've already started this thread virtually it, you lot might desire to make another post and list all of what you lot want to sell, in case one or some of the members wish to contact you and purchase information technology from you. Selling on cpapauction.com is perfectly legal considering they verify that bidders take a prescription... ebay does not take a organization to verify prescriptions, so they don't allow the items to be sold. I don't know most the legality of selling person-to-person without verifying prescription, so if y'all want to make certain your transaction is on the up-and-upwards, cpapauction is the mode to go.

The legality of selling a prescription particular would depend on the laws of your state.

As already covered there really are only three options & one is non actually necessary.

1) Cpapauction.com

2) Is Craigslist (but less reliable)

iii) Is to attempt to sell hither merely this is the questionable selection because cpaptalk gear up cpapauction just so people could sell machines without hijacking the purpose of cpaptalk.

eBay enforce that no cpap sale in other countries fifty-fifty though local laws are not being violated.

Thank you for your replies. My feeling is that Craiglist may be "breaking the law" in some states, but in some ways, if it is a poor person'southward merely selection to become handling and an "experienced" cpap user shows them how to alter pressures, talks to them, etc. then, it'southward all right morally with me. Access to medical care is so express right now, and the high co-payments, particularly for sleep studies, doctors that really don't do anything, etc., isn't always the best for the person. Sleep apnea treatment through the regular channels is non cheap! In some ways also, this may be too much government intervention in our lives (no, I am not a tea-bagger by any means!). It's a slice of medical equipment, not a narcotic. People let other people borrow crutches or canes all the time. They could exist harming themselves with the crutches or canes, or they could benefit greatly from them. . Yes, there is some risk of harm with not having a prescription for cpap, but for someone with no other option, it could be life saving.

Sorry, I forgot. It's a Respironics Remstar Plus with C-Flex, a Fisher & Paykel Flexifit full face mask, and a half-dozen ft. hose. I want nearly $175 for all of it...aircraft sort of depends on what the person wants. I actually used information technology quite a scrap ..I am very compliant with my cpap treatment, and I recall for nigh 11 months. Oh, and I don't smoke and alive solitary. Many of those ads I have seen, say that it was used only a couple of times, so I may have to lower my price. I have started looking locally first for a buyer--thinking I can help with knowing the machine more than those who used a few times. But in a few days, I will probably put it up on cpapauction. I would use craigslist to sell it--it is local and no shipping prices involved.

I see that a few have mentioned but posting this here,, so hither goes. I will try Craig's listing too. I have an almost new RESMED s-9 ESCAPE with all accessories 2 masks, case, Heated humidifier . all paperwork, EVERYTHING> I'd similar to sell it. looking for a reasonable offer. It's in mint condition. It cost me $1200. but I've willing to permit information technology sell for much less.
